It seemed to the Fayetteville coordinator & former DuPont inspector that, with the exception of Governor Mike Easley, the most influential person in North Carolina was State Senator Tony Rand. Senator Rand was the majority leader of the North Carolina State Senate and, importantly, his district included the Fayetteville area. Clearly, he was someone that needed to be informed of the many red flags in both Fayetteville and Raleigh.
However, Tom was having trouble getting any kind of response from Senator Rand's office. The senator had two offices that could be contacted, one located in Fayetteville, the other located in Raleigh. He left messages at both offices, but there was no response. After several days, he again left messages at both offices.
