"Olivia, this is the best day of our lives," Harry said with great happiness.
Olivia wagged her tail in apparent agreement. Harry had said this many times during the past month.
They were standing on Placid Way admiring the colorful maple trees all around them.
Earlier, they had met with a very special person at the Seva restaurant on the west side of town. It was a wonderful lunch together. Although she had to get back to work, she had taken a few minutes to visit with Olivia in the back seat of Harry's car.
Harry was in love with her. He glowed each time they met to walk their dogs together or share a meal. But Harry was also cautious and a bit unsure. Perhaps a few off-hand words out of his mouth might somehow become pointed arrows. He kept reminding himself to speak slowly and savor every moment.

Harry and Olivia were making their final walk around the city park on Baldwin Street. The sun had set as they began their final lap, but the sky had become quite dark as they approached their car. Harry suddenly stopped. There appeared to be two men standing next to the car. One of them was aiming a flashlight at the driver's side window. It was too dark to be sure what was taking place.
"Hey, what are you doing," Harry called out in very loud voice.
The two men suddenly started walking quickly towards Harry and Olivia.
