Six-year old Harry and his best friend Jack walked down the dirt road headed to the forest at the very end of the road. Their mothers had instructed them to never go into the forest. It was dangerous! But their moms never explained why it was dangerous. Were there hungry bears looking for little children to eat? Was there a mean-looking robber living in the forest who might want to steal the precious pennies in the boys' pockets? Were there large hissing snakes? Why was the forest dangerous?
Naturally, the two young boys were very curious. They decided to walk down and stand by the edge of the forest. They would stand at the perimeter and peer between the outer trees. What would they see or hear? The two boys were determined to discover the reason the forest was dangerous.
